How can I get the service?

If you are already an MS Azure user you can request this service. Contact the Belnet Service Desk in order to send a service request regarding Belnet Cloud Connect – MS Azure.

What is the process for setting up the service (also called ExpressRoute)?

  • You agree on which interface to use for the service.
  • You use the MS Azure portal in order to create your ExpressRoute (we advise you to contact Belnet before activating your service key).
  • You send the service key to Belnet for configuration.
  • We complete the ExpressRoute form and send it to GEANT.
  • We inform GEANT of the two VLANs to use for the service.
  • GEANT configures the service and informs Belnet when it's done.
  • We use the VLAN received from GEANT and configure the Layer 2 VPN.
  • Belnet will inform you when it's ready.

Who can subscribe to the service?

R&E and administration organizations connected to the Belnet network which are MS Azure users.

Who can I contact in case of problems?

Belnet will support you step by step.

How do I cancel the service?

To cancel, send an email to your account manager.

When do I start being charged?

You pay for MS Azure as soon as you activate your ExpressRoute service key. As we need a couple of days to configure the connection, we advise you to let us know when you want ExpressRoute before activating it by Microsoft.
