In 2025, Belnet continued to develop and optimise its existing services in order to best meet the needs of its various communities.
Following the unilateral termination of the certificate provider’s contract, significant efforts were made both by GÉANT, which had to identify a new service provider, and by Belnet, which ensured that the transition was as smooth, transparent and efficient as possible for its users.
Furthermore, usage of the FileSender and FedSender services has grown significantly, leading to increased demand on our teams to ensure appropriate support and maintain the quality of service.
The uptake of govroam, eduroam and guestroam services continued to grow in 2025, with a steady increase in the number of users and the volume of connections, reflecting their increasing integration into everyday life.
