GÉANT: focus upon social engineering
Ever since 2020, Belnet has contributed to the annual awareness campaign of the European research network GÉANT. Also this year, GÉANT will be launching a campaign aimed at raising awareness about cyber security in the European R&E community.
With the tagline "Your brain is the first line of defence", this year's GÉANT campaign is all about social engineering. Cybercriminals use all sorts of manipulative techniques in order to trick people into releasing confidential information. With this campaign, GÉANT wants to encourage users always to think critically and remain vigilant so that they can always stay one step ahead of cybercriminals.
