PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts develops privacy-first AI tool to streamline survey completion

Completing the same information over and over again in questionnaires and project applications is a familiar frustration across education and research institutions. With EXPATS (Explainable Autofill for Trustworthy Surveys), PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts has developed an AI-powered tool that significantly simplifies this process. Thanks to funding from the GÉANT Innovation Programme, the project has evolved from an idea into a fully functional prototype.

BENELUX-QCI: building quantum-secure communication across borders

How can we protect sensitive data as quantum computers continue to grow in power? Starting from this key question, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg are joining forces in BENELUX-QCI. This new European project builds on earlier national initiatives, including BeQCI, and represents an important next step towards quantum-secure communication in Europe. Belnet once again plays there a central role.

HOGENT student Mike De Decker presents AI project promoted by Belnet at TNC25

HOGENT student and rope skipper Mike De Decker had the unique opportunity to give a Lightning Talk about his bachelor's thesis in computer science at the recent international TNC25 conference. His project focuses on developing an AI model designed to assist judges in this sport with increasingly complex evaluation criteria. Mike’s project was promoted by Belnet through the GÉANT Future Talent Programme and was selected - along with 24 others - from 96 international submissions.

Belnet facilitates open science within the Federal Science Policy

Belnet has long been a major player in the field of open science, including through its role as a mandated organisation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Association. The company recently took on another new innovative project, the Federal Open Science Cloud (FedOSC).
