From an operational perspective, our DDoS mitigation service has been enhanced with a dashboard that provides a real-time view of ongoing attacks and the mitigation measures deployed to neutralise them.
In 2024–2025, the Federal Scientific Institutions (FSI) and hospitals in turn took part in the training programme developed in collaboration with the Belgian Centre for Cybersecurity (CCB). This programme helps participants to set up and conduct cyber crisis simulations within their organisations.
In October, Belnet organised the Benelux Security & Privacy meeting for the second time, in collaboration with the Dutch and Luxembourgish research networks SURF and Restena; around sixty experts attended the event.
Also in 2025, Belnet switched to a new security awareness platform to train its staff on security risks.
