Strengthening our network so that it is as efficient and reliable as possible is a constant concern. A recent operation to renew the optical backbone of the Prime Minister's Chancellery allowed us to set up a new Belnet Point of Presence (PoP) in the heart of Brussels.
Its unique location within the buildings of the FPS Chancellery will allow, among other things, to connect other government organisations to our network while offering additional guarantees in terms of information security.
The Belnet network now has 27 Points of Presence on Belgian territory and two cross-border extensions in Luxembourg and the Netherlands. You can view the map of our PoPs here.
