Jérôme Maisetti , IT Database & Process Manager

Jérôme Maisetti
"The nice thing is that my job makes a direct impact, which is very satisfying for me on a personal level. It's not like we are developing things that will gather dust years later. It also makes me feel like doing my job really well because you give colleagues the help they need right away."

Jerome has worked at Belnet in the IT Service Management (ITSM) team since September 2024. In the meantime, he has been able to gain many impressions of our organisation. We caught up with him for a chat to find out how he would describe his first months at Belnet and what appeals to him about his job and work environment. Over to you, Jérôme!

What is your current impression of Belnet now that you've been with us for a while?

"Belnet as an organisation truly feels like a family to me; after only a few weeks, I felt completely at home. It's very nice to see how everyone spontaneously seeks me out to get acquainted. I think the company culture is really great. I mentioned it recently in the customer orientation training; it's impressive how well the onboarding went, including the part from the HR and ICT team."

Can you provide some details about the challenging projects you will be working on in the coming months?

"Taking care of both day-to-day developments and future functions of ServiceNow is my main task. I will also support the team in the various ITSM processes, such as incident management. I am also the technical stakeholder in a number of projects, such as that of the Belnet Portal and the Operations Desk."

How was the onboarding within the ITSM team?

"I was very warmly welcomed within the team and immediately immersed in the ongoing projects. We matched right away and I felt that the challenge I was looking for, consisting of varied projects and lots of contact with people, fell completely into place here. This really is what I was looking for!"

What appeals to you about your job?

"The nice thing is that my job makes a direct impact, which is very satisfying for me on a personal level. It's not like we are developing things that will gather dust years later. It also makes me feel like doing my job really well, because you give colleagues the help they need right away."

And to conclude, would you recommend Belnet as an employer and why?

"Yes, without a doubt! Because of the very human aspect of the organisation. I have not experienced this culture and mindset very much elsewhere, even though it is extremely important to feel good at work. What's also an important aspect for me is the impact on society. We are an important organism, so it's very satisfying to help write the Belnet story!"
