A few months ago, we presented you with a framework agreement for the maintenance and acquisition of optical and IP equipment from the brands Ciena, Nokia, Juniper and F5, and the associated services, intended for the Belnet community.
Last September, we announced that the candidate selection phase had just closed following our call for applications with European publicity. Two candidates were selected for each of the three lots: Ciena, Nokia and Juniper/F5.
If you are one of the 30 institutions that indicated your intention to benefit from the conditions of this contract, we would like to inform you that we are entering the final stage before the contract is awarded.
Late March, early April as a target
The contract will be awarded on the basis of a competitive procedure with negotiation. The final bids were submitted on 9 February, and the proposals for the awarding of the contract were forwarded to our supervisory bodies immediately afterwards. Furthermore, as this is a contract with European advertising, we will have to observe a waiting period of 15 days between the awarding and the notification of the contract.
Our goal is for the contract to start on 1 April.
Next month, we will provide you with all the details on the different partners selected as well as the opening and closing dates of the contract.
