Belnet provides researchers with access to the most advanced technologies
By connecting to the Belnet network, researchers employed at private research centres can gain access to the Belgian research network to which Belgian universities and university hospitals are also connected, and thus to the Flemish Supercomputer. The Belnet network, in turn, is connected to the European network GÉANT. This groups together all the national research and education networks (NRENs) in Europe and connects them with other NRENs worldwide.
In addition, Belnet also provides specific services such as FileSender and Belnet Storage, for secure transmission and storage of confidential research data, respectively.
